Y'all�ve Fallen�But You lot Can Go Upwardly!

Luke 22:54-62

INTRODUCTION:

Have yous always fallen down spiritually while running this race / been tripped up by the devil?

You�re not a failure because you lot autumn�merely if you don�t become back upward If you become upward simply once more than you fall then you�re a success!

Proverbs 24:16

What would yous think of a preacher who would curse and swear in front end of one of the teenagers?

        Peter did just that�and denied the Lord, but in spite of it all, God gave Him a new start and Peter learned how to fail forward! [read text]

1. Failure doesn�t have to exist a hitching post; it tin be a guide mail

We can learn from failures and sins!  God has a way of bringing good out of bad!

Some have low self esteem and think God sees them as a composite of all their failures�but not and so!

Ill.--My dad doesn�t innovate me equally Jerry, my son who drained the transmission fluid and filled up the oil�though I did!  Or�

Jerry, my son who�stole truck and went to Iowa [at xv!]

�rode motorcycle w/ no shirt and hit bumblebee at 50 mph!  [Yep, that stings!]

        My earthly begetter has no need for such memories�and my heavenly father has no need for such either!

When God forgives, He forgets [equally far as eastward from west!]

        Not to say there�s no consequences, but from a judgmental perspective...God doesn�t concur them against the states!

2. If we fail God, it will probably exist at a point of our greatest force

Peter�south greatest strength was his courage!

v. 33        we can admire Peter�s statement at starting time glance, but there�s a difference between saying I can do all things thru Christ , or just I can exercise all things!

Ii.  When we fail, God is sympathetic (Luke 22:61)

        The moment Peter denied, he turned and saw the Lord, and their optics met!

It wasn�t a look of disappointment or anger�it was a look of honey!

*God is not changing u.s.a. and then He can love us; He

loves usa and, therefore, He is changing us .

*God does non honey us because nosotros are valuable; nosotros are            valuable because He loves united states of america!

I call up that sometimes we feel that mode later failing God/we�re almost embarrassed to go to Him in prayer/inquire for forgiveness for that same old sin again!/and the devil causes us to look to heaven and wonder, God, exercise you even desire me?

Good news:   He wants you!  He�s there all the time, waiting patiently in line!  He�southward sovereign and can make lemonade out of lemons like us�and when we fail, He�s sympathetic!

III. Even when we fail, we are secure

Aren�t you glad your salvation doesn�t depend upon Y'all?  If you�ve been born again, you lot are forever changed�Y'all are safe and secure in His Mighty Easily!

v. 31-32

Explain the sifting process:  chaff remains in sifter, wheat falls thru/Satan, the accuser, wanted Peter to fall, so he could throw the chaff in God�southward face!

Satan wanted to sift Peter to condemn him�Jesus immune the sifting in guild to cleanse Peter.

        Jesus besides knew there was some crust/and that Peter would never deal w/ information technology until he became enlightened of information technology�so He allowed it!

Satan had a malevolent motive/Jesus a benevolent!

Then, Jesus used the devil�southward tool--to assist Peter!

Jesus isn�t concentrating on the chaff in your life�He sees the wheat�and He wants to cleanse you!
